Ex-AEW Star “Not A Fan” Of MJF

MJF AEW Dynamite

MJF might be our scumbag but he’s not one former AEW star’s cup of tea.

Fuego Del Sol was famously given his AEW contract in the middle of the ring by his good friend Sammy Guevara after Del Sol had failed to dethrone Miro for the TNT Championship on the debut edition of Rampage in August 2021.

Although mainly featured on YouTube shows Dark and Elevation, Fuego Del Sol built up a following through his appearances on Guevara’s vlog but in June 2023 he announced his time in AEW had come to an end.

Speaking on his YouTube channel, Fuego Del Sol offered his insight into some of the people he worked with in the company and noted that he and MJF just didn’t seem to click:

“This isn’t gonna be good, people aren’t gonna like this but if I’m being honest I’m not a fan of this guy, for real, I’m just not. We’re talking about the current AEW World Champion MJF. When I say I’m not a fan, I try never to let my personal opinion get in the way of someone’s actual talent. He’s talented as all hell, incredible promo guy, when he does decide to wrestle he puts on incredible matches and makes himself an attraction.

“However, early on in AEW even before I got signed, he gave me one weird, disparaging remark in front of a lot of people backstage. It was off-handed, I’m sure he don’t even remember it, I do though.

“Some people are gonna go out of their way to critique you or congratulate you or help you out, he kinda stuck to himself in that regard, never really talked to me so I don’t think we’re each other’s cup of tea. However, that doesn’t change the fact that he’s insanely talented and I will never ever, ever let my personal feelings of someone get in the way of how good they are. He’s great.”

AEW World Champion MJF sends a message to Kenny Omega

On Dynamite in Rosenberg, Texas MJF came face-to-face with former AEW World Champion Kenny Omega after Omega remarked that one day – when he’s finally taken care of The Don Callis Family – he might get back in the hunt for the title.

The current champion offered his hand to Omega in a show of respect before whispering “13 days b*tch” in his ear, a warning that MJF is counting the days to overtaking Omega and becoming the longest reigning AEW World Champion in the promotion’s history.
