Ex-AEW Star Becomes Latest Name To Join WWE ID Program
Another wrestler has joined the WWE ID program.
Kylie Rae has announced she’s the latest independent star to become part of the WWE ID program. The news came at a Freelance wrestling event on November 21st.
Gabe Sapolsky — who is heavily involved in the program behind the scenes, quickly dubbed Rae the “best worker on the indies” on social media.
Fans might remember Rae as an AEW original after the star signed with the company in early 2019. However, she left the promotion later the same year after asking for her release. At the time her departure was said to be amicable. The star then landed in TNA and initially announced her retirement in late 2020, although she quickly reversed the decision.
After a spell with the NWA, Rae had a WWE try-out in December 2022 and even wrestled on Main Event under the name Briana Ray.
Full List Of WWE ID Talents
To date, WWE has announced 17 names as being part of its new ID program, but it remains to be seen how many more will be added. The program is designed to create a pathway between WWE and the independent scene with the sports entertainment giant offering support to those signed to deals. It should be noted, however, that none of the 17 athletes listed have signed full-time talent contracts.
