Ex-AEW Star Expresses Ethan Page Regret
Ethan Page had the potential to do more.
After a spell with TNA, Ethan Page signed with AEW in 2021 where he quickly teamed with Scorpio Sky. Page later formed part of The Firm and eventually went on to work alongside Matt Hardy, but by late February 2024 he’d left the promotion.
On the latest episode of his Extreme Life of Matt Hardy podcast, Hardy reflected on getting to work with Page in AEW. He added that the Canadian star had all of the tools to achieve more than he did with the Tony Khna-led company.
“I wasn’t overly familiar, familiar with Ethan page’s work until I worked with him and then, like once I got to know him, and saw kind of how his mind worked and and the way his mind ticked, really became a huge fan of his and it’s just a shame nothing happened with him in AEW, because he had, he has everything it takes to become a big star.”
Hardy went on to say that he’s not surprised to see Page excelling in NXT, adding that he expects to see on Raw or SmackDown in the very near future.
“I think he’s doing great at NXT. I think he’s going to be to the main roster before too long. I think he’s going to do great there as well, like he really gets the entertainment aspect of pro wrestling.
He’s really good at, and on top of that, he’s quite athletic, and he’s a really, really hard worker and disciplined guy, especially with his diet and his body and everything else now, just a good human being all the way around. Man, I have nothing but great things to say about Ethan Page.”
Ethan Page Main Roster Bound?
The comments from Hardy come after Page revealed that Chelsea Green is doing “everything in her power” to get him onto the main roster. He added that he’s not sure how or why they came to team up, but they ended up having great chemistry.
It was reported as far back as August that the partnership had been so successful that it could see Ethan Page move to the main roster. And if nothing else, it seems that Chelsea Green is doing all she can to make it happen.
