Ex-AEW Star Threatens To Expose Tony Khan As A Communist
A former AEW star has asked if people want proof that the billionaire owner of his former company Tony Khan is in fact a communist.
Tony Khan is the son of billionaire auto parts magnate Shad Khan who build his family’s fortune to the point he could buy the NFL’s Jacksonville Jaguars and the English Premier League’s Fulham Football Club.
That fortune helped Tony Khan start All Elite Wrestling in 2019 with many believing the company will only begin turning a profit following its new TV deal with Warner Brothers Discovery that will keep AEW on the air for three more years at least.
One of Khan’s early signings in AEW was Jake Hager – the former Jack Swagger in WWE – who made his surprise debut for the company on the first episode of Dynamite where he joined Chris Jericho, Sammy Guevara, Santana, and Ortiz in the Inner Circle.
That debut, however, proved to be arguably the highlight of Hager’s run and he left AEW in May 2024 when his contract expired.
Is Tony Khan A Communist?
Now, Hager has taken to social media with a bizarre shot at his former boss Tony Khan on US election night as he threatened to provide proof that Khan was a communist:
Do u want proof that @TonyKhan is a communist and threatened me to be silent or else?
Hager followed that up by claiming Khan threatened his job with AEW if he didn’t stop promoting Donald Trump insinuating that’s what made him a communist:
Tony khan is someone who threaten my job if i didnt stop promoting my trump. He js a communist
Whether Tony Khan has ever attempted to seize the means of production remains to be seen but given his family’s exorbitant wealth it might seem unlikely to many. Hager has since deleted the posts without explanation.
