Ex-AEW Figure Signs WWE Legends Deal
Former AEW star Mark Henry has signed a WWE Legends deal.
The decorated former Olympian joined Tony Khan’s organisation in May 2021 after spending 25 successful years with WWE.
Henry made his debut at Double Or Nothing 2021, revealing that he would be operating as a coach backstage as well as being part of the commentary team for AEW Rampage.
WWE Hall Of Famer Henry is well respected in the industry having captured both the World Heavyweight Championship and ECW Championship during his time in WWE, where he went on to work as a backstage producer and mentor after winding down his full-time in-ring career in 2017.
The Silsbee, Texas native departed AEW at the conclusion of his contract on 28th May 2024 but remains a prominent figure in the business thanks to his co-hosting duties on the popular Busted Open Radio show.
Speaking during an appearance at ‘Sweet Chin Disco‘ in Belfast, Northern Ireland, Henry revealed that he had recently invested in a wrestling company before confirming that he had inked a new deal with WWE;
“I got my camera going. And I’m videoing everybody. I’m videoing you all. It is with a lot of love and a lot of thought that’s went behind this. I bought into a wrestling company called All Caribbean, and I’m one of the owners.
But today, I’m announcing that just about 30 minutes ago, I signed a nostalgia deal with WWE.”
AEW Confirm Return Of ROH Supercard Of Honor
AEW made a big announcement of their own recently by confirming the return of ROH Supercard Of Honor.
The return of the show will take place on May 2 at Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, New Jersey.
The 2024 edition of the event saw Mark Briscoe defeated Eddie Kingston to claim the ROH World Championship.
