A popular AEW wrestler was back in action on Dynamite.

There are some big AEW babyface names who are out of action with injury. Some of them include Swerve Strickland with a knee injury, Will Ospreay with a neck injury, Kenny Omega resting from multiple injuries, and Orange Cassidy, who was on the injured list for most of this year as well.

The last match that former two-time International Champion Orange Cassidy had was on the March 19th edition of AEW Dynamite. Cassidy has been out of action with a torn labrum, which led to surgery to repair the shoulder injury. After six long months, Orange is back.

In the days leading to AEW Dynamite in Pittsburgh, The Conglomeration was in action against three wrestlers from the Don Callis Family. While his name was never specifically mentioned, it was heavily teased that Orange Cassidy would be the mystery partner of Mark Briscoe and Hologram.

At Dynamite in Pittsburgh, Orange Cassidy made his official return to the ring after six months on the shelf.

What Happened When Orange Cassidy Returned On AEW Dynamite?

Prior to a six-man tag team match on Dynamite, Don Callis did a promo before the Don Callis Family’s match. Callis claimed he had a masterpiece painting. When the painting was unveiled, it was actually the returning Orange Cassidy, so the idea is that he ruined a painting. That led to a 6-man tag team match that was previously advertised.

Orange Cassidy teamed up with The Conglomeration’s Mark Briscoe against the Don Callis Family’s AEW Unified Champion Kazuchika Okada, Konosuke Takeshita, and Hechicero. After Hologram took care of Takeshita and sent him out of the ring, Orange Cassidy hit an Orange Punch on Hechicero. Hologram hit a spinning sitout Powerbomb on Hechicero for the pinfall win.

After the match, TNT Champion Kyle Fletcher challenged Hologram to a TNT Title match for next week’s episode of Dynamite because Hologram is 34-0 in AEW. Fletcher intends to end Hologram’s undefeated streak and keep his title.
