Ex-AEW Champion Wants To Finish Beef With Britt Baker

A former AEW Women’s Champion isn’t done with Britt Baker.

In March 2021, Britt Baker and Thunder Rosa wrestled in the first women’s match to main event AEW Dynamite. To add even more headlines, they battled in a chaotic and bloody Unsanctioned Lights Out Match.

The pair continued to feud on and off for the next year, and Thunder Rosa finally won the Women’s World Championship from Baker in a Cage Match in March 2022.

During the course of their rivalry, and since, for that matter, it was repeatedly reported there was real heat and genuine backstage friction between the two women.

During an interview with KFox14, Rosa was asked about those famous matches with Baker, before admitting she wants to face her one more time before all is said and done.

“Well, that was for the Lights Out match. We were runner up for match of the year for the cage match. But I can tell you that cage match is one of the most brutal, violent, and bloody matches that you’ve seen two women head to head. We didn’t end the feud there. That’s where I won the championship that Dr. Britt Baker had.

So I always say that I’m still waiting for her to come back, because I am her past and her future. So whenever she’s ready, I’m ready to finish this beef that we had for a couple years now. So I was very blessed that with her that I was able to headline that Dynamite in 2021 and then Dynamite in 2022. Those are the matches that definitely define my career.”

Where Is Britt Baker?

AEW’s resident dentist hasn’t wrestled since beating Penelope Ford on the November 13, 2024, edition of Dynamite. This was followed by a report in January that suggested Tony Khan had become so fed up with Britt Baker that she may never wrestle for AEW again.

The report said Baker was widely unpopular in the locker room and was known to be difficult to work with. However, a later update suggested that those claims were wide of the mark.

It’s believed that WWE would be interested in signing Baker if and when she ever became available.
