Ex-AEW Champion Confirms New Contract
The AEW roster gets stronger with a former champion confirming the rumors of a new contract.
Willow Nightingale has officially inked a new multi-year deal with AEW, solidifying her place as one of the promotion’s most dynamic and beloved stars.
With her trademark energy, in-ring resilience, and growing list of accolades, Nightingale’s re-signing reflects AEW’s commitment to elevating the women’s division. The former TBS Champion has not only captured titles but also the hearts of fans worldwide. In a recent conversation with Jon Alba of Sports Illustrated, Willow Nightingale revealed that she has signed a new contract with AEW.
If I teamed with @TrueWillieHobbs I’d call us BIG WILLZ and yes it would be all caps like that and you’d kinda have to say it like a crazed maniac a little bit, very important https://t.co/MAYwtUglfs

“That is true, yes. I am happy where I am. I think there is so much left ahead for me to do at AEW, things that I want to accomplish. But also, I’m just really excited to be a part of something when it’s fresh and new and, like, you know, I think we’re past the years of finding our footing, but to have been a part of that and continue to water and watch it grow is just a privilege as well as a joy, you know? So I’m excited to continue, to take part in that.”
Willow Nightingale Seems More Determined Than Ever To Make A Mark In AEW
Since mid-2023, Willow Nightingale has added several impressive titles to her resume, including reigns as TBS Champion, NJPW Strong Women’s Champion and CMLL World Women’s Champion. However, her championship drought began in September 2024 and she recently missed the opportunity to compete in the Owen Hart Cup.
In a recent conversation, the former AEW champion expressed her continued hunger for championship success. Although currently outside the title picture, her ambitions are clear. She wants to reclaim the TBS Title from Mercedes Mone and finally capture the elusive ROH Women’s Championship.
