An injured AEW star still isn’t ready to return.

Thunder Rosa has been out of action since suffering an undisclosed injury during the women’s Casino Gauntlet Match at All In Texas. That match was ultimately won by Athena, who went on to unsuccessfully challenge “Timeless” Toni Storm for the AEW Women’s World Championship.

Despite her absence, Thunder Rosa recently claimed that she’d love to “finish the story” with her long-time rival Britt Baker.

The two women have a lengthy history stretching all the way back to 2018. However, it was in AEW through 2021 and into 2022 that their feud was truly solidified. In March 2021, they became the first women to headline Dynamite, and 12 months later, Rosa beat Baker in a Cage Match to win the Women’s World Championship.

But while she might have eyes on that match, Rosa first has to focus on getting back in the ring.

Thunder Rosa Remains Out Of AEW Reckoning

During an appearance on Masks Mats & Mayhem, Rosa was asked about potentially reuniting with Toni Storm. However, she confirmed that a reunion is out of the question as she’s still unable to get back in the ring.

“Unfortunately, it’s not up to me. I just work there. I just come, show up, say thank you very much. I’m happy to be here and when I go back and wrestle, that’s what you do. I would have loved to but, given the circumstances right now, I can’t be in the ring.

So, people have to move on and that’s what happened… And for me right now, my health is super important for the rest of my career.”

Looking ahead to 2026, Rosa revealed that she’s got a lot of fun projects on the way, both in and out of the ring.

“And I’m preparing myself to get back in the ring, which is important. I think this year, 2026, is gonna be extremely important. I have to stay healthy for big opportunities to come in the future. What do they look like? I don’t know yet.

But for sure, my Master’s degree is coming, that’s for sure, and some music is coming, and a documentary is coming. So, there’s a lot of stuff that we’re working on…”

Back in October, Rosa said that she hoped to return to action within a couple of months as she’d been working hard on rehabbing her injuries. However, she didn’t offer an update on what those injuries might be.
