Erick Rowan’s Touching Tribute To WWE-AEW Legend Brodie Lee (Luke Harper)
Erick Rowan has let his late friend Brodie Lee know that “you are part of my heart always.”
When Erick Rowan got his start in WWE in the early 2010s, he was part of The Wyatt Family stable led by Bray Wyatt. The third man in the group was Luke Harper, who, like Rowan, was a taller man with a big beard.
The Wyatt Family would eventually add Braun Strowman to the group, and they ran roughshod in WWE, first in NXT and later on the main roster.
After The Wyatt Family ended, the group went their separate ways, but Rowan and Harper found their way back to eachother. They eventually became The Bludgeon Brothers in 2017-18 and held the WWE SmackDown Tag Team Championships.
They eventually went their separate ways. Harper went to AEW, where he used his pre-WWE name of Brodie Lee and became a TNT Champion there.
Sadly, Brodie Lee (real name John Huber) passed away on this day five years ago at the age of 41. He was married to Amanda Huber and had two sons, Brodie Jr. and Nolan.
Erick Rowan’s Message About Brodie Lee On Death Anniversary
Writing on Instagram, Erick Rowan wrote a thoughtful message about is former WWE tag team partner, Luke Harper.
Grief is a funny thing. It’s something that never goes away. Some days are good, filled with emotional memories, some not so good, filled with frustration.
People can leave a lasting impression on others either for the bad or the good. JON was the latter. Can’t think of one person who had a bad thing to say about the wrestler, the father, the husband, or the man.
He was the foundation of what I myself hope to be. 5 years has passed since we last talked on this physical realm. But you are part of my heart always. Love you forever brother…..
Erick Rowan is currently part of WWE’s Wyatt Sicks group with Bray Wyatt’s Bo Dallas as Uncle Howdy, along with WWE Tag Team Champions Joe Gacy & Dexter Lumis, and Nikki Cross. They are a group that is paying tribute to the late, great Bray Wyatt.
