Eric Bischoff On The AEW Program That Is “One Of The Worst Wrestling Shows I’ve Ever Watched”
WWE Hall of Famer Eric Bischoff didn’t mince words while reviewing a recent episode of AEW Dynamite, labelling it “one of the worst wrestling shows I’ve ever watched.”
Speaking on his 83 Weeks podcast, Eric Bischoff shared his unfiltered opinion of the show, which he admitted he rarely tunes in to watch.
Where the best wrestle my ass that was some of the most horrible wrestling I’ve ever sat down and forced myself to watch. Some matches were okay, but it was garbage from the beginning to the end.
The former WCW president revealed he decided to give AEW another chance out of curiosity, particularly to see how the ongoing storyline involving AEW World Champion Jon Moxley would unfold. Despite his initial interest, Bischoff was left deeply unimpressed, saying the program fell short of his expectations for compelling wrestling content.
There’s nothing about it that I find interesting or compelling, I think it was one of the worst wrestling shows I’ve ever watched. From the concrete floor in the arena up, it was so bad.
Bischoff’s stinging critique has added fuel to the ongoing debate within the wrestling community about AEW’s approach to storytelling and production. While AEW has earned a loyal fanbase for its high-energy matches and alternative presentation, critics like Bischoff argue that it lacks the polish and narrative depth seen in other wrestling promotions.
Which Wrestling Promotion Will Eric Bischoff Make His Return To Wrestling With Recently?
Eric Bischoff will make his return to wrestling with MLW as an executive producer. Bischoff agreed to take total creative control of the MLW One Shot show on December 5th. Bischoff said that while he will be taking creative control of the show he will still be working under the guidance of the promotion’s founder Court Bauer.
