Eric Bischoff Wants Surprise Names Added To WWE Hall Of Fame

Eric Bischoff Advocates Final WWE Run For Former Tag Team Champions

Eric Bischoff believes Insane Clown Posse deserve a spot in the WWE Hall Of Fame.

The duo of Violent J and Shaggy 2 Dope have long been associated with professional wrestling having originally started their own backyard promotion in 1983. Eventually the well known musical duo would gain notoriety for their late 1990’s appearances for WWE and WCW, alongside brief stints with other major US promotions including ECW and TNA.

Speaking during a recent edition of his podcast 83 Weeks: Wise Choices, former WCW Senior Vice President Eric Bischoff jokingly suggested that his followers could start a movement to get the duo inducted, before noting that he often ran in to them on the convention circuit and always enjoyed their company:

“I suggest … we start a petition — we want Insane Close Posse in the WWE Hall of Fame. This is not an effort that’s gonna happen quick, but we can gain momentum because I’ve got a hell of a cult following to this day.”

“They’re bat-s**t crazy, which is the part I love the most. But I enjoyed being around them and I appreciated what they contributed. They brought an edge to our product. It was something wacky, cool, and different at the time, and that’s what ‘Nitro’ was all about.”

Eric Bischoff Slams Dave Meltzer As A ‘Con Man’

One man that Eric Bischoff does not believes deserves to be celebrated is prominent wrestling journalist Dave Meltzer.

Bischoff has made no secret of his lack of respect for Meltzer’s work and recently launched a fresh attack on the veteran scribe, dismissing the 64 year-old as a ‘con man and a fraud’.
