WWE Hall of Famer Eric Bischoff has stirred controversy with his harsh critique of wrestling journalist Dave Meltzer, labelling him a “con man and a fraud.”

The incendiary remarks were made during an episode of Eric Bischoff’s podcast “83 Weeks,” where he addressed Meltzer’s historical criticism of WCW’s product in the late ’90s. In a candid commentary, Bischoff expressed how his view of Meltzer’s work has evolved over time.

And it also gives me great content because there’s nothing I love more than exposing idiots like Dave Meltzer and proving to the world, along with guys like Bruce Pritchard and Jim Cornette and so many others who are just willing to tell the truth and expose Dave Meltzer for the con man and the fraud that he accuses other people. But it really is Dave Meltzer- as a con man and a fraud.

Eric Bischoff had high praise for WWE SmackDown GM Nick Aldis, Bischoff said that Aldis is perfect in his GM role as he has the physical threat due to being a wrestler himself whereas someone like Teddy Long did not have the physical stature to be imposing.
