Eric Bischoff Addresses Ric Flair Issues

Ric Flair

Former WCW boss Eric Bischoff has addressed his ongoing public spat with Ric Flair and says if he owes Flair an apology, then he’s happy to do so.

Ric Flair and Eric Bischoff’s uneasy relationship stretches back to the two men’s time together in WCW. Bischoff perceived that Flair had no-showed an event and launched a lawsuit against The Nature Boy that saw Flair miss five months of television. When Flair returned, their real-life drama was turned into a storyline that played out on Nitro.

Despite the passing of years, and the two men being on friendlier terms, Ric Flair has taken exception to Eric Bischoff in recent weeks, branding him “an arrogant prick.”

Now speaking on his 83 Weeks podcast, rather than try and escalate things, Eric Bischoff was looking to douse the flames of this very public fallout, despite earlier referring to Flair as “a whiny baby”:

“If he wants to face-to-face just kind of talk this thing through and figure out where it’s all coming from and why and look if I owe Ric an apology for something I said, I’m happy to do that. I just don’t want to participate in the whole social media thing. I just don’t think it’s healthy and again, because of the respect I have for Ric, I don’t want to do it, so I’m not doing it.”

“[…]Ric wants to break it down face-to-face, wants to fight it out, wants to hug it out, I don’t care. I’m good either way, but not doing it over social media and on podcasts.”
