El Grande Americano A “Disgrace To Lucha Culture” Says WWE Star
El Grande Americano has been blasted as a complete disgrace to lucha culture by a current WWE star.
Chad Gable has lost his mind. Gable began hell bent on trying to be able to defeat luchadors to no success. So he went to Mexico, claimed the secrets of lucha libre, and returned as the mask-wearing El Grande Americano.
The character shift courted controversy after he was first announced as being from the “Gulf of America”, but the reason for Gable’s alter ego became a bit clearer when WWE announced their purchase of AAA, as the sports entertainment giant looks to spread its wings in Mexico.
El Grande Americano captured his first WWE title in recent weeks, and he already has challengers lining up to get their hands on him.
El Grande Americano Sounds Like A Starbucks Order
On the most recent edition of WWE Speed, Berto defeated Noam Dar and then set his sights on El Grande Americano, sending a strong message to the masked star:
Hey! There you are. What did I tell you last week? Now I’ve found my pace, and I’m going to win every single speed match they send my way. Next week, I’m going to be facing the self-proclaimed Greatest Luchador of all time, Chad [pauses and smiles] I’m sorry, El Grande Americano.
It’s very hard to take someone seriously when they sound like my Starbucks order. Come here. Are you listening, Grande? You are a disgrace for the lucha culture. And next week, it’ll only gonna take me five minutes to prove that you’re nothing.
El Grande Americano was recently part of the men’s Money In The Bank match that was won by Seth Rollins.
