Edge & Christian Stopped Ex-WWE Star Becoming Their Brother

WWE were intent on one star becoming the third brother to Edge & Christian until the two stars themselves were forced to put a stop to it.

At the turn of the century, Edge & Christian, The Hardy Boyz, and The Dudley Boyz helped revolutionise tag team wrestling, dragging it into the new millennium. The three teams innovated the TLC match that is a staple of WWE today, with their original bouts still considered the very best of their kind.

As time went on, each team ended up with a third member of their group as the Dudleyz brought in little brother Spike, the Hardyz relied on Lita’s high-flying assaults, while Edge and Christian found an unlikely ally in Rhino. But the former ECW World Champion could have been even more involved with the iconic duo.

Edge & Christian Nix Rhino As Their WWE Brother

Speaking on The False Finish, Rhino explained that original plans to bring him into WWE would have seen him dye his hair and try to be Edge and Christian’s third brother:

They wanted to dye my hair and have me as their little brother. Adam and Jey both went to them [WWE management] and said, ‘Listen, the fans are are going to sh*t all over this.

On a recent edition of Dynamite, Nick Wayne was told he’d be defending his ROH Television Title against a “man from Christian Cage’s past.” That man turned out to be Rhino. Rhino challenged for the gold in his AEW debut, but ultimately it was Nick Wayne who escaped with his title after using Christian Cage’s own Killswitch on the master of the Gore.
