ECW Icon To Return To WWE After 20 Year Absence
A former ECW icon is set to make their return to WWE for the first time in almost twenty years when NXT heads to the 2300 Arena in Philadelphia.
The 2300 Arena is best known to wrestling fans as the ECW Arena and when NXT takes place there in the iconic venue, it seems the show will have more than its fair share of extreme twists.
NXT will emanate from Philadelphia on November 6th, marking a one week resurrection of the Wednesday Night Wars as the show goes head-to-head with AEW Dynamite due to the US Presidential election taking place on November 5th.
During Halloween Havoc, NXT General Manager Ava announced one match for that show as Jaida Parker and Lola Vice will get their chance to settle their issues in a hardcore match. However, there will be an even more extreme twist as the special referee for that bout was revealed to be ECW alumni Dawn Marie.

When Was Dawn Marie In WWE?
Dawn Marie is best known for her stint in ECW where she managed the Impact Players team of Lance Storm and Justin Credible. She joined WWE in 2002 where she was immediately involved in a storyline for the affections of Vince McMahon.
Her time in the company is best remembered for the infamous rivalry with Torrie Wilson that saw Marie marry Torrie’s father Al before apparently killing him on their honeymoon due to vigorous lovemaking.
Dawn Marie’s last appearance came at the original One Night Stand PPV in 2005 where she managed Lance Storm for his match with Chris Jericho. Marie was released from her contract not long after while pregnant and on maternity leave.
