Dwayne Johnson Jokes About Becoming UK Prime Minister

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson may not be looking to make a play for the White House but the star has joked about joining political life in the UK.

Simply put, Dwayne Johnson is a man living out loud. An icon to the millions and millions of his adoring WWE fans, a global megastar in the film world, and an entrepreneur with his own production company, tequila brand, and football league to his name. That’s living alright.

The man known to WWE fans simply as The Rock was in London for the premiere of his new DC blockbuster, Black Adam. While there, Dwayne Johnson alluded to the political turmoil currently engulfing the UK when speaking to Sky News, he joked about becoming Prime Minister:

“Are you ready for another Johnson prime minister? Maybe Rock prime minister? I will tell you this… It’s great to be back in London. I will tell you that.”

The former Johnson The Rock was referring to was ex-PM Boris Johnson who was forced out of office in September 2022. Unlike American Presidency – something Dwayne Johnson has recently ruled out – citizens born in other nations can become Prime Minister of the UK. Indeed Boris Johnson was born in New York City, so a run at the role is not out of the realm of possibility for the man who would surely be known as The People’s Prime Minister.
