Drew McIntyre Mocks WWE Rival With Humorous Nickname

Drew McIntyre has fired a shot at the WWE superstar that he will likely be facing at WrestleMania 41.

The WWE SmackDown brand gained two former World Heavyweight Champions during the recent “transfer window” period that WWE had around the new year. Just like that, Drew McIntyre and Damian Priest became two of the biggest stars on the SmackDown brand.

Since becoming SmackDown stars, Priest eliminated McIntyre in the Men’s Royal Rumble match. During the Men’s Elimination Chamber match, McIntyre pinned Priest to eliminate him from the match, so an angry McIntyre hit Priest with a Claymore Kick to allow Logan Paul to eliminate Priest from the match.

They also have a history going back to WrestleMania 40 when McIntyre won the World Heavyweight Title from Seth Rollins, then McIntyre taunted CM Punk at the commentary table and Punk fought back. That led to Priest cashing in Money in the Bank on McIntyre to win the World Heavyweight Title, which meant McIntyre was only the champion for about five minutes.

McIntyre also won Money in the Bank in 2024 and tried to cash in on Priest, but that didn’t work. When they faced off at Clash at the Castle, Punk showed up dressed as a referee to cost McIntyre again.

Drew McIntyre And Damian Priest Continue Rivalry On WWE SmackDown

At the beginning of WWE SmackDown in Philadelphia, Drew McIntyre did a cheap attack in the backstage area where he hit Priest from behind.

Later in the show, McIntyre beat Jimmy Uso in a match. After the match, Priest went to ringside and knocked down McIntyre with a forearm to the back. There were WWE Officials and referees there to try to break it up. Priest hit Drew with a superkick to knock him down. Priest was held back by WWE Officials while Drew was down on the floor.

Taking to social media, Drew McIntyre shared a GIF of Priest moving his hair out of his face while asking: “You wanna do it Temu Taker?”

The Temu remark is a shot at Priest for being somewhat of a cheap knockoff of The Undertaker as Temu items are considered by many people.

McIntyre’s rivalry with Priest will likely escalate as the Road to WrestleMania 41 continues.
