Drew McIntyre Captures WWE Money In The Bank
An all-new Mr. Money In The Bank has been crowned as Drew McIntyre achieved the first part of his plan to get back on top in WWE.
Eighteen men had the opportunity to qualify for the Money In The Bank ladder match with a series of triple threat bouts being held as qualifiers in recent weeks.
In the end, Raw’s Jey Uso, Chad Gable, and Drew McIntyre joined SmackDown’s Carmelo Hayes, LA Knight, and Andrade as the final six to fight over the briefcase and the all-important contract for a title match, anywhere, any time.
The field also ensured there would be a first-time winner of the briefcase as none of the six competitors had ever been crowned Mr. Money In The Bank before.
Drew McIntyre Wins Big In Toronto
At Money In The Bank in Toronto, an absolutely wild battle ensued with ladders and bodies tangling at every turn. As the match reached its conclusion, it looked like Jey Uso was about to capture the briefcase but Drew McIntyre intervened to launch a ladder at his old rival’s face.
That allowed McIntyre to climb the ladder himself and grab the briefcase ensuring he gets a shot at the World Heavyweight Championship whenever he wants.

Drew McIntyre had won that title at WrestleMania but lost it just moments later when Damian Priest cashed his briefcase in on him. McIntyre will no doubt be hoping to get more than a measure of revenge in that regard sooner rather than later.
