Drew McIntyre Eyes WWE Gold At Money In The Bank

Drew McIntyre

Drew McIntyre has several chips on both shoulders after the last few months in WWE but on Raw, he got closer to becoming World Heavyweight Champion once again.

Drew McIntyre won the World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania 40 from Seth Rollins but his celebrations proved to be his undoing. McIntyre taunted CM Punk who had commentated on the match leading Punk to clock the Scottish star with his arm brace which allowed Damian Priest to cash in his Money In The Bank briefcase to win the gold.

At Clash at the Castle in Glasgow, Scotland, Drew McIntyre faced Priest for that title but CM Punk struck again and screwed McIntyre in his home country in a gut-wrenching moment for McIntyre and his supporters alike.

McIntyre left CM Punk bloodied and battered in Chicago on SmackDown and now he’s looking to get his hands back on the World Heavyweight Championship by winning Money In The Bank.

Drew McIntyre Heading To Money In The Bank

On Raw in Boston, Drew McIntyre faced Ilja Dragunov and Sheamus in a hard-hitting triple threat match to qualify for the men’s Money In The Bank match on July 6th. McIntyre nailed his sometimes friend, sometimes rival Sheamus with a Claymore to pick up the win.

After the match, Drew McIntyre made clear that if he wins Money In The Bank, he’ll be cashing in on the same night to leave Toronto as World Heavyweight Champion again.

Also on Raw, there was another qualifier for the women’s Money In The Bank match as Zoey Stark defeated Dakota Kai and Ivy Nile.
