Drew McIntyre Reunites With Infamous WWE Stablemates
Drew McIntyre has been away from WWE, but he did have time to visit some old friends.
The WWE career of Drew McIntyre has had a lot of ups and downs. When he was in his early 20s, he was dubbed the “Chosen One” by Vince McMahon, and he quickly became a rising star. Eventually, that push stalled for several reasons.
For two years, starting in 2012, Drew McIntyre was part of a group with Jinder Mahal and Heath Slater, known as 3MB – 3 Man Band. The group was mostly a comedy trio that acted as if they were musicians, but they never actually played instruments.
After leaving WWE for three years, Drew returned in 2017 and went on to win his first of three WWE World Titles at WrestleMania 36 in 2020. That happened two years after Jinder Mahal was a WWE Champion. Heath Slater wasn’t a WWE Champion, but he did have success as a tag team wrestler. In other words, all three members of 3MB had success outside of the group, but not within it.
Even though 3MB has been dead and buried for more than a decade, they have a bond that will last forever. That bond was on display at Jinder Mahal’s wedding as the trio of Jinder, Drew, and Heath reunited for a group photo that wrestling fans loved.

Drew McIntyre Remains Away From WWE
The last time Drew McIntyre was seen on WWE TV was at the Saturday Night’s Main Event special on May 24th when he lost a steel cage match to Damian Priest. To end the match, Priest did a Conchairto chair shot to McIntyre’s head as a way to write McIntyre out of WWE storylines.
According to a recent update from Wrestlevotes, there appear to be no immediate plans for McIntyre to return to television.
“Nothing on the pipeline recently, which tells me it’s not imminent. When he’s ready, if I was booking, I’d put him right on the top. I think the guy deserves it and you could tell, when he’s not on TV, like as of late, the show is lacking a little bit. So, when he’s ready, you put him right back in that main event scene.”
Prior to the Saturday Night’s Main Event match, it was reported that McIntyre was taking time off to heal an injury. It’s not known when he might return to WWE television, but clearly he’s enjoying his time away with his 3MB pals and his family.
