Drew McIntyre Teases Huge New Rivalry With WWE Star
Drew McIntyre has an eye on a new rival.
Throughout 2024, Drew McIntyre has been at war with CM Punk, and just about everyone else he believes stands in his way.
As the feud threatened to consume both men, Punk cost McIntyre the World Championship at WrestleMania, before making sure he didn’t win it back over the following months. After each star picked up one win over the other, things came to a head at Bad Blood when Punk defeated McIntyre inside Hell In A Cell.
The blood-soaked chaos was widely praised by fans and McIntyre has only just returned to action, renewing hostilities with Sami Zayn. But it seems he’s already got bigger things on his mind.
Drew McIntyre Looks To Significant New Challenge
During a recent TikTok livestream, McIntyre looked beyond his impressive 2024 and towards a new rivalry with one of WWE’s biggest names. Cody Rhodes. The star teased that when the time comes, feelings and bodies will be hurt.
“I don’t want to give too much away. It’s going to be significant when the time comes… The world is going to be along for the ride. Feelings will be hurt, bodies will be… Cody and I, it’s going to be big when it happens.”
Cody Rhodes is currently out of action after being attacked by Kevin Owens after Saturday Night’s Main Event went off the air. After losing out to Rhodes in the show’s main event, Owens attacked his rival from behind before laying him out with a Package Piledriver.
Following the attack, WWE announced Cody Rhodes had suffered a list of spinal injuries. The update noted that Rhodes had “been officially diagnosed with axial compression of the cervical spine, as well as a cervical strain with spasm.”
Drew McIntyre returns to the ring on the December 23rd edition of Raw. With the show being taped in advance, you can find the full list of spoilers by clicking the link.
