Drew McIntyre Takes Shot At WWE And Cody Rhodes After Latest Loss
Drew McIntyre is not impressed.
At Saturday Night’s Main Event, Drew McIntyre was determined to try and end 2025 on a high, but once again, things didn’t go exactly as he’d planned.
In the opening match of the night, McIntyre unsuccessfully challenged Cody Rhodes for the Undisputed WWE Championship. In the closing stages, McIntyre looked to hit Rhodes with the title belt after the referee had been knocked down. But after the champion escaped, he hit McIntyre with a DDT on the belt to score the win.
The match capped off a rough ten months for McIntyre, who has tasted defeat in several high-profile matches throughout the year.
After losing to Jey Uso as Raw premiered on Netflix, he failed to win the Royal Rumble, failed to win the United States Title, lost a Cage Match to Damian Priest, lost to Randy Orton, and lost to Rhodes at Wrestlepalooza.
The only real high points came at WrestleMania and SummerSlam, where he beat Priest and successfully teamed with Logan Paul, respectively.
Drew McIntyre Vents Frustration
Following Saturday Night’s Main Event, McIntyre took to social media to let the world know just how unhappy he is.
The clip shared by McIntyre shows Cody Rhodes telling a story about Ted DiBiase JR. going backstage after a match and saying, “the referee was trying to f*ck on him.”

Elsewhere at Saturday Night’s Main Event, CM Punk overcame Jey Uso to become World Heavyweight Champion for the second time. The title had been declared vacant after Seth Rollins was forced to undergo surgery on a major shoulder injury.
According to the latest update from Rollins, he’s expected to be out for around six months.
