Drew McIntyre Storms Out As WWE Royal Rumble Goes Wrong

WWE had problems backstage at the Royal Rumble as an elimination went wrong and Drew McIntyre stormed out of the building before the show ended.

Drew McIntyre was on the hunt for revenge at the Royal Rumble as he sought out both Roman Reigns and CM Punk, looking to settle a few scores.

McIntyre entered the men’s Rumble at number 17 and looked set to be among the final runners and riders but things didn’t pan out that way. The Scottish star lasted 26 minutes and 55 seconds but claimed no eliminations before he was dumped out of the ring by Damian Priest.

Drew McIntyre looked shocked as he was forced to walk away from his chance to headline WrestleMania 41 but backstage all hell broke loose.

PWInsider has reported McIntyre was “screaming and cursing” backstage following his elimination. McIntyre was said to be shouting about the fact that “someone had to get their moves in” at the expense of some of the stories being told in the bout. It was also mentioned that something “went wrong” with McIntyre’s elimination suggesting he was meant to last longer in the bout.

McIntyre is said to have “pretty loudly stormed out” of the building before Jey Uso won the men’s Royal Rumble match by last eliminating John Cena.

It remains to be seen if McIntyre’s actions will lead to a storyline with the man who eliminated him or if he is genuinely upset about how the match played out.
