Drew McIntyre Shares Spectacular Health Update After WWE Return
Drew McIntyre has provided a major health update.
The Scottish Warrior went on a hiatus after his loss in the steel cage match against Damian Priest at Saturday Night’s Main Event in May.
This led the fans to speculate about a potential injury sustained during the brutal cage match, but Triple H assured that he had given McIntyre a little breather.
The former WWE champion returned on the July 4 episode of SmackDown to a loud pop.
He recently appeared on FOX News for an interview, where he discussed his current physical condition.
I honestly feel better than I felt in about, minimum, six or seven years. During this time off, I’ve had a chance to step back and look at everything from an outside perspective.
Drew McIntyre also compared it to how he felt during the 2020 Royal Rumble match, which he won by beating 29 other men.
I brought somebody in to start doing rehab at the gym, stretching things I’ve never done in my life and it’s unbelievable what it’s opened in my body and feel exactly the way I did probably like before I won the Royal Rumble in 2020. [H/T: Fightful]
McIntyre’s latest return did not go as planned. Nevertheless, he found his next target.
Drew McIntyre To Face Randy Orton At Saturday Night’s Main Event
Other than being a force in the ring, Drew McIntyre has also earned praise for his mic skills.
The 40-year-old is often seen taking personal swipes at his opponents, all while sounding witty.
Nothing much changed recently, as he interrupted a segment between Randy Orton and Cody Rhodes, calling himself ‘the alpha.’
He got in the face of both former champions, goading and trying to drive a wedge between them. However, he was soon laid out with an RKO by the Viper, who decided he had heard enough.
An irate Drem McIntyre then demanded a match against Orton, which was set for Saturday Night’s Main Event on July 12 by SmackDown manager Nick Aldis.
