Drew McIntyre WWE Promo SD

Drew McIntyre isn’t wrestling at WWE Crown Jewel, but he does have a match when WWE SmackDown returns to America.

There was an-ring promo segment on the September 26th edition of WWE SmackDown that saw an angry Drew McIntyre complaining about how he was cheated in his Wrestlepalooza match with Cody Rhodes for the WWE Title.

While McIntyre was in the ring speaking, Jacob Fatu interrupted and matter-of-factly told Drew to quit whining about everything. They got into a physical altercation, during which Fatu stood tall, indicating that a feud was likely to ensue.

At WWE SmackDown in Perth, Jacob Fatu spoke to the WWE Champion Cody Rhodes backstage.

Fatu: “The American Nightmare, huh? You know it’s nothing but love from The Samoan Werewolf. But on the other side of Crown Jewel, when you’re finished with Seth Rollins, oh you know what’s popping with me.”

Rhodes: [shows the Undisputed WWE Championship belt] “Good.”

After Rhodes left, the SmackDown GM, Nick Aldis, approached Fatu, shook his hand, and said he had to talk to him about something.

That’s when an angry McIntyre showed up and threw Fatu into some objects backstage. Drew shouted at Fatu and said, “What did you think was going to happen?” There were WWE Officials and Aldis there to stop Drew. Drew told Aldis he needed to talk to him.

Drew McIntyre Ready For WWE SmackDown Showdown

Later in the show, GM Nick Aldis spoke with Drew McIntyre, and Aldis said that Drew and Fatu will have a match on SmackDown next week in San Jose. Drew was happy about it.

Following the match announcement, Fatu attacked McIntyre in the backstage area as payback for McIntyre’s match earlier.

After headlining Wrestlepalooza with Cody Rhodes, Drew McIntyre is not on the card for WWE Crown Jewel, but he does get to face Jacob Fatu in a singles match on the October 17th edition of SmackDown.
