Drew McIntyre Reunites With Former Faction Outside WWE

Drew McIntyre WWE entrance

Drew McIntyre marches to the beat of his own drum in WWE, but that wasn’t always the case.

Drew McIntyre is a former WWE Champion, World Heavyweight Champion, Royal Rumble winner, WrestleMania main eventer, and hater extraordinaire. But there was a time when he was simply a man in a three-man band.

In the early 2010s, Heath Slater, Jinder Mahal, and Drew McIntyre struggled to make headway in WWE, coming together to form 3MB. In-ring success wasn’t something the group came by very often, as they lost to the great and the good in the company.

Without a shadow of a doubt, 3MB’s greatest moment came when they adopted Hornswoggle and were in his corner for the WeeLC match against El Torito in 2014. Just a few weeks later, McIntyre was released by the company.

Now, Drew McIntyre has shared a photo on social media of the three members of the group reunited outside of WWE once again.

Drew McIntyre Hunting Down Cody Rhodes & WWE Championship

In more recent times, Drew McIntyre took Cody Rhodes out of action after delivering a vicious Claymore that put Rhodes’ head through the announce table. Rhodes has been out of action so he can film the new Street Fighter movie, while his wife Brandi also recently gave birth to the couple’s second child.

There was some uncertainty in WWE over when Rhodes would be back, but Triple H has now confirmed Cody Rhodes will be back for Wrestlepalooza, meaning he’s likely to defend his WWE Championship against Drew McIntyre on that show.
