Drew McIntyre Looks Back On The One WWE Feud Everyone Slept On
Drew McIntyre has been a part of numerous high-profile feuds.
Be it his rivalry with Cody Rhodes, CM Punk, Seth Rollins, or Damian Priest, The Scottish Warrior put on shows that left a lasting memory with WWE fans.
McIntyre recently competed in the Survivor Series: WarGames match, where his team won big over the CM Punk-led team.
The 40-year-old star is also suspended as part of a storyline, but showed up on SmackDown anyway before he was attacked by Cody Rhodes and escorted out of the arena.
Drew McIntyre is a 3-time World Champion, his last title win coming in 2024, when he defeated Seth Rollins at WrestleMania XL.
However, after the match, Punk attacked McIntyre, allowing Damian Priest to cash in his Money in the Bank contract and win the title.
Drew McIntyre Recalls Forgotten WWE Feud
Amid his championship pursuit, Drew McIntyre recently recalled a forgotten feud in WWE.
Speaking on the Busted Open Radio podcast, McIntyre revealed that fans do not give his feud with Randy Orton much credit due to it taking place during the COVID-19 pandemic era.
Randy and I had some great programs. The big one that people probably won’t talk about in the future so much, as the pandemic just disappeared in everyone’s mind, which is hard for me since I had the title for over 300 days … I knew I had to step up and prove that I belong at the top level.
That’s when I got to Randy for the first time in a long-term program. I have to prove I can keep up in the ring with Randy Orton at a top flight level. I have to prove I can keep up on the microphone at the top flight level, and Randy really pushed me during that period. [H/T: Wresting World]
Drew McIntyre also stated that he would love to have another title feud involving Randy Orton, this time in front of live crowds.
