Drew McIntyre Hits Out At WWE Star For Stealing His Ideas
Drew McIntyre wants the credit he deserves.
Back in January, a spokesperson for London Mayor Sadiq Khan said he remains determined to bring WrestleMania to the city.
In a short statement, the spokesperson added that Khan wants to “cement London’s reputation as the undisputed sporting capital of the world.”
In July 2024, it was revealed that Triple H and Nick Khan had travelled to London to meet Sadiq Khan. The meeting came after Sadiq Khan went public with his desire to bring WrestleMania to London that April.
In a new interview with the Daily Star, Drew McIntyre was adamant that WrestleMania would be heading to the UK while taking a shot at John Cena in the process.
“These days, I have a very different mindset than what I used to have, in that anything and everything is possible. It’s not just that there’s going to be a big show in the UK at some point. I believe there is going to be a WrestleMania. I’ve said that from the moment I started believing that anything is possible.
So if you want your headline, John Cena tried to claim credit for it when we came to London a couple of years back. I said it first that there would be a Mania in the UK before Cena started running around trying to take credit.”
John Cena Upsets Drew McIntyre On Raw
Drew McIntyre was also annoyed with John Cena after his latest promo on Monday Night Raw. During the segment, Cena said he was the “one guy who actually always tells the truth,” something the Scottish star has always prided himself on.
In a post on social media, McIntyre was quick to vent his frustration.
During the same interview with the Daily Star, Drew McIntyre admitted he’s “p*ssed off” about his WrestleMania position. With the event just around the corner, McIntyre finds himself out of the championship picture and in the midst of a rivalry with Damian Priest.
