Drew McIntyre Was Dealing With “Health Issue” At WrestleMania 39

Drew McIntyre WrestleMania 39

Drew McIntyre was in one of the matches of his career at WrestleMania 39 as he did battle with Sheamus and Gunther for the Intercontinental Title but it seems the Scottish star’s performance was even more remarkable than first known.

It was reported in recent days that Drew McIntyre is in the last year of his WWE contract with the two sides said to be “not even close” on a new deal according to PWInsider.

Speaking on PWTorchVIP, Wade Keller noted that McIntyre is apparently unhappy with both cash and creative in WWE as he considers his future:

“We alluded to this that there’s been talk that he is unhappy with his current situation in WWE and I’m hearing it’s kind of a mix of creative and money and what kind of offer he’s getting for a renewal. It sounds like WWE is taking seriously the possibility that he is going to let his deal run out rather than agree to something that he believes is less than he deserves or less than he what he thinks he has coming.”

Drew McIntyre was pulled from SmackDown due to an unspecified health issue following WrestleMania but Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer has now reported that McIntyre was dealing with the issue at the biggest event of the year itself. It remains unknown how long McIntyre will be out of action.
