Drew McIntyre Addresses Controversial WWE Raw Photo
Drew McIntyre really doesn’t like CM Punk.
Back in August, a photo began doing the rounds on social media showing several WWE Superstars talking in the ring and going through their matches ahead of Raw. While some felt the picture gave an interesting insight into life behind the scenes, others felt it was something that needlessly continued to destroy the illusion.
One of the biggest talking points from the photo was that it showed CM Punk and Drew McIntyre side by side, presumably discussing their segment for later that night.
Throughout their storyline, Drew McIntyre has repeatedly claimed he’s got real-life issues with CM Punk, and the pair genuinely don’t like each other. Something some fans suggested the photo disproves.
However, McIntyre has a different take. During a new interview with Fox News, the Scottish star explained that he and Punk talking was no different than someone in an office having to interact with someone they don’t like.
But you can feel the tension when we’re around. And I remember there was some picture that came out online recently, and it was the big talk of the internet because (CM) Punk and I were close to each other during the day and it was, ‘Oh my God, they really don’t dislike each other.’
I was like, yeah, you frickin’ idiots. You don’t go to your office job and have to stand beside the guy you don’t like in your office occasionally just because someone snapped a picture of that moment because we’re dealing with a situation you have to deal with in your profession even if you can’t stand the p—k.
Drew McIntyre And CM Punk On A Highway To Hell
After Drew McIntyre got the better of CM Punk at SummerSlam, and Punk got his own back at Bash In Berlin, the heated rivals needed to settle the score. So what better place to do that than inside Hell In A Cell?
At Bad Blood the pair will meet inside the famous structure, looking to end their issues once and for all.
Ahead of the match, CM Punk has branded McIntyre a “piece of sh*t,” adding he’s got nothing nice to say about him.
