Drew McIntyre Gloats After CM Punk’s NXT Humiliation

Drew McIntyre

Drew McIntyre liked what he saw on NXT when he saw CM Punk suffer an embarrassing dressing down from an unlikely WWE star.

CM Punk promised to make an announcement on the 17th of September edition of NXT to reveal what he’d be doing on the show when the brand moves to the CW Network.

Before he got to that, CM Punk came face-to-face with NXT Women’s Champion Roxanne Perez. Perez and Punk have long had an off-screen friendship with each other with Punk seen as a mentor to the 22-year-old. However, on-screen, Roxanne Perez is a villain and she had some choice words for Punk.

Perez told CM Punk that she should have been a Drew McIntyre fan and noted that the only reason Punk was coming to the 1st of October edition of NXT was so he could have one last moment of glory before Drew McIntyre ended his career at Bad Blood.

Drew McIntyre Proud Of Roxanne Perez

Drew McIntyre took to social media to react to the situation, noting that he was very proud of the NXT Women’s Champion but wasn’t following the same line of rhetoric as his Hell In A Cell opponent:

None of this ‘you’re my wrestling daughter’ bs Only freaks do that. I’m just very proud of you @roxanne_wwe

CM Punk won’t be involved in Roxanne Perez’s title match with Giulia on October 1st but Punk will have a big say when Ethan Page defends his NXT Championship against Trick Williams.
