WWE’s Drew McIntyre Blasts Jelly Roll For Being Celebrated About Weight Loss
Drew McIntyre is known for having an impressive physique, and he’s not impressed by Jelly Roll’s weight loss.
A huge match is taking place at SummerSlam on Saturday, August 2nd, when Drew McIntyre teams up with Logan Paul against Randy Orton and popular singer, Jelly Roll, who is making his WWE in-ring debut.
Jelly Roll has been putting in the work at the WWE Performance Center, specifically mentioning that he has gotten help from the likes of Jacob Fatu and The Undertaker. As a lifelong WWE fan, Jelly is living his dream by getting a chance to compete in a WWE ring.
It is also well documented that Jelly Roll used to weigh over 400 pounds, but now he’s under the 300-pound mark because he’s putting in the work. Many people applaud Jelly Roll for the weight loss, but Drew McIntyre is not one of those people.
In a video posted on social media, Drew McIntyre was on a private plane after WWE SmackDown in Cleveland. Drew said he was on a private plane because he had to fly to England for a friend’s wedding.
Drew went on to talk about how Jelly Roll celebrated for being under 300 pounds at SummerSlam. Drew said that he’s also under 300 pounds, but they look different.
“You’re celebrated for being just under 300 pounds for SummerSlam. What kind of goal is that?
You’re celebrated for not looking like an advertisement for diabetes anymore, while people expect Drew to be the most jacked guy around.”
As he continued, Drew said that this was just a hobby for Jelly Roll, but for Drew, it’s his life.
“I’m Going To Beat The F**k Out Of You” – Drew McIntyre
For a final message, Drew McIntyre warned Jelly Roll about what he is like in the ring.
“Speak to anybody you want. They’ll tell you what I’m like in the ring. How rough I am in the ring. You think this is fun? You’ve got your preconception. You gonna go out there and have a good time?
I’m going to beat the f*ck out of you. This little dream of yours is going to become a nightmare. Bon voyage.”
During their interaction on WWE SmackDown in Cleveland, Jelly Roll got the upper hand on Logan Paul and gave him a Black Hole Slam (or Bossman Slam), which impressed the crowd. McIntrye and Paul retreated after that.
You can watch SummerSlam on Saturday, August 2, and Sunday, August 3, streaming live at 6 p.m. ET/3 p.m. PT on Peacock in the United States and on Netflix everywhere else.
