Drew McIntyre Alliance Teased By Unlikely WWE Star

Drew McIntyre might think the whole world is against him but one WWE star has broken cover and hinted at an alliance with the former World Heavyweight Champion.

At WrestleMania 40, Drew McIntyre suffered a career’s worth of moments in the space of five minutes. McIntyre defeated Seth Rollins to win the World Heavyweight Championship but spent too long taunting CM Punk who had been on commentary for that match.

An irate and one-armed Punk attacked McIntyre, allowing Damian Priest to storm to the ring and cash in his Money In The Bank contract on McIntyre and leave Philadelphia with the gold.

If McIntyre was mad at the world before, he is positively irate now with most of his anger still directed at CM Punk. Damian Priest offered McIntyre a shot at his title when the Scottish star is medically cleared to compete again and it seems Drew McIntyre will challenge for that title in his home country.

After a brief appearance on Raw, McIntyre sent out a rant on social media where he took issue with Priest’s comments about him and it seems to have struck a chord with another WWE star.

Joe Coffey of Gallus himself took to social media with a video where he agreed with what he heard from his countryman hinting that an alliance could be in the works:

You know the thing that amazes me is that see when this man talks how many people in all the rosters and all the people behind the barrier want to do this (covers eyes), this (covers mouth) and that (covers ears).

Truth hurts, it’s amazing how much I agree with everything that Drew McIntyre is saying. Well done, finally someone with a set of stones will stand up and say what he feels.

Joe Coffey and Gallus recently made a big return to NXT for the first time in months as the group had been helping The Rock prepare for his match at WrestleMania 40.

Coffey defeated Wes Lee and Josh Briggs on the 21st of May edition of NXT to earn a shot at the NXT North American Championship held by Oba Femi.
