Don Callis Forces AEW Star Into His Family
Don Callis has been up to his old tricks and he’s surprised Will Ospreay as he revealed the newest member of his family.
At AEW Grand Slam Australia, Will Ospreay will team with Kenny Omega to battle The Don Callis Family in a massive tag team match. Konosuke Takeshita and Kyle Fletcher will be Callis’ representatives in that match but now the weaselly Callis has revealed a new member of his group.
On the February 5 edition of Dynamite, Will Ospreay was shocked when he had to take on the newest member of The Don Callis Family, Mark Davis. Davis had previously been part of the United Empire with Ospreay and Kyle Fletcher and it seems his part in Callis’ group might well be under duress.
Don Callis Pulls Off Dirty Trick
Don Callis explained that he signed Aussie Open two years ago and during Davis’ year out due to a serious wrist injury, Kyle Fletcher was given power of attorney over his partner. That meant that Callis now controls Davis and so he was sent to face Will Ospreay.
Mark Davis didn’t seem hesitant to face his old friend and took the fight to Ospreay. In the end, Will Ospreay was able to use his Hidden Blade to pick up the win.
Fans might be confused by this latest development as when Mark Davis returned in November 2024 from injury, he fought against The Don Callis Family with no mention that Callis was in control of his contract.
