Don Callis Family Member Targeting Match With Kenny Omega
Kenny Omega is a wanted man.
On the September 3 edition of AEW Dynamite, Kenny Omega will team with “Hangman” Adam Page, Kevin Knight, and “Speedball” Mike Bailey to face Josh Alexander, Kyle Fletcher, and The Young Bucks in All-Star tag team action.
However, Alexander in particular has his eyes on a much bigger prize.
During a new interview with Justin Barrasso, Josh Alexander explained why securing a singles match with Omega is so important to him.
“Kenny Omega is number one on my bucket list, and he has been for the past decade. I’ve looked up to him for so long, and I have so much respect for him. He earned that top spot. That’s what I’m vying for. I’ll get to step in the ring with him on Dynamite, and hopefully that snowballs into something even more. That’s my dream match.”
Kenny Omega Responds To Reports About His Health
On August 29, it was reported that Kenny Omega is dealing with “serious pain.” While there were no details given on Omega’s reported issues, the news was particularly concerning, given the star’s diverticulitis diagnosis in December 2023.
After being hospitalised due to the illness, Omega missed the entirety of 2024, only resuming his in-ring career in January 2025.
However, Kenny Omega was quick to calm the nerves of concerned fans, telling everyone not to worry about him or his health.
In the only other match announced for Dynamite, Mercedes Mone will defend the TBS Championship against Alex Windsor. Mone has held the title since beating Willow Nightingale at Double or Nothing 2024.
The star has only lost once since becoming All Elite, only falling to “Timeless” Toni Storm at All In as she attempted to win the AEW Women’s World Championship.
Alex Windsor signed with AEW back in June after becoming a standout on the European independent scene.
