Dominik Mysterio Makes Shocking AAA Appearance, Added To Huge Title Match
Dominik Mysterio made his presence felt at an AAA show, and it led to him being added to a major championship match as well.
It was announced during WrestleMania 41 weekend that WWE had acquired AAA. Since then, WWE superstars have been appearing on AAA shows, and the two brands even did a Worlds Collide TV special in June in Los Angeles.
Dominik Mysterio has also successfully defended the WWE Intercontinental Title against Octagon Jr. at Money in the Bank as well.
At the AAA Alianzas event on July 25th, the AAA Mega Champion Hijo Del Vikingo issued an open challenge for the massive AAA Triplemania XXXIII event on August 16th. WWE’s Dragon Lee answered the challenge. However, WWE’s El Grande Americano (Ludwig Kaiser in a mask) also interrupted, and Grande fought with Dragon.
As the segment continued, a wrestler in a hoodie knocked Lee down, and Vikingo bumped out of the ring. The hooded wrestler punched Lee repeatedly. The man in the hoodie was WWE’s Intercontinental Champion Dominik Mysterio, who was booed heavily by the crowd. Dominik was wearing the Intercontinental and holding the AAA Mega Championship. Grande attacked Vikingo outside the ring.

Dominik Mysterio went on to do a promo in Spanish about how he was the King of the Luchadores. It was announced that Dominik had been added to the TripleMania match.
At AAA TripleMania XXXIII on August 16th, El Hijo Del Vikingo will defend the AAA Mega Championship against El Grande Americano, Dragon Lee and Dominik Mysterio in a four-way match.
