Dominik Mysterio Rubs Family The Wrong Way With WWE Character

Dominik Mysterio’s family think the star takes his wrestling persona too seriously.

Ever since Dominik betrayed Rey Mysterio and joined The Judgment Day in 2022, he has been at loggerheads with his father. On the road to WrestleMania 39, the rivalry grew to include Mysterio’s mother, Angie, and sister, Aalyah. When father and son fought on the Grandest Stage Of Them All, Angie got involved, slapping her errant son after he threw a drink in Aalyah’s face.

Speaking to Bleacher Report, Rey Mysterio revealed that Aalyah is no fan of Dirty Dom’s outside the ring either, saying she’ll maybe have to follow in her mother’s footsteps and slap him herself.

“She still says he’s still a d-bag and he’s always been that way.

“Sometimes she’ll say, ‘Dom takes his role too seriously. He thinks the same character that he’s on TV he has to be at home. I’m just going to slap him.’

“You do what you got to do. Dom has always been that way around the house. Always spontaneous with his remarks, very gritty, but overall, he gets a lot of that from my wife because my wife is like that as well.”

As someone who has been a babyface his whole career in WWE, Rey Mysterio has reflected on his partners betraying him over the years. The star believes that it all comes down to him being too friendly with people, and he often ends up trusting the wrong wrestlers. He also joked that someday before he hangs up his boots, he might finally snap and “go crazy.”
