Dominik Mysterio Seeks Revenge Against Top WWE Star
Dominik Mysterio hasn’t forgotten a brutal attack that he suffered from a major WWE superstar when Dominik started his career as a wrestler.
The first match that Dominik Mysterio had as an official WWE superstar took place at SummerSlam 2020 when he faced Seth Rollins. It was a match that took place in the “ThunderDome” setup that WWE had that year due to not being allowed to have fans at shows due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Rollins and Dominik would go on to have one of the best matches at SummerSlam, which was impressive since it was Dominik’s first match as a WWE superstar.
On the August 10, 2000, edition of WWE Raw before SummerSlam, Rollins destroyed Dominik by hitting him with over a dozen kendo stick shots to the body. The attack scarred Dominik’s body badly and took several weeks to heal.
Dominik and Seth are now in much different roles as WWE superstars. Rollins is beloved by the fans while Dominik is one of the most hated people in all of WWE. They are also set to have a dark match after the October 25th edition of Smackdown in Brooklyn.
What Does Dominik Mysterio Have In Mind For Seth Rollins?
While speaking to Sports Illustrated, Dominik Mysterio made it clear that he hasn’t forgotten what Rollins did to him with those kendo sticks four years ago and he would love to get some payback.
“If I get the opportunity, I’m going to make sure that Seth is tied up in the ropes. Hopefully, Liv will be there, hand her a kendo stick while she’s on the outside. I’ll take a kendo stick while I’m on the inside, and while Seth is tied up within the ropes like this, I’m going to beat the living s*** out of him with the kendo stick like he did to me.”
For over two years, Dominik Mysterio has been a part of The Judgment Day group on the Raw group. The group currently consists of World Tag Team Champions Finn Balor & JD McDonagh, Carlito, Women’s World Champion Liv Morgan & Dominik while Raquel Rodriguez is also an ally of the group. A recent report has claimed that WWE plans on taking Carlito out of the group, but it’s not known if it will happen. Fans will have to keep watching WWE Monday Night Raw to see if Carlito’s run in The Judgment Day might end soon.
