WWE’s Dominik Mysterio Has Questions For His Mother
Dominik Mysterio has some questions for his mother when it comes to who might be his father.
As one of the most hated wrestlers in WWE, Dominik Mysterio has adopted a unique look that’s a lot different than his father.
While Dominik’s father Rey Mysterio is known for wearing a mask in WWE, he was always a guy that had a shaved head even when he wrestled without a mask in WCW. Dominik has gone with a completely different look by growing his hair out long and having a mustache. It’s a look that the late, great WWE Hall of Famer Eddie Guerrero used to have for much of his career.
Fans of WWE will remember the famous “Custody of Dominik” Ladder Match from SummerSlam 2005 when Rey beat Eddie to gain custody of his son, a young Dominik. That was just a storyline where Eddie claimed he was Dominik’s dad.
A lot of fans like to compare Eddie to “Dirty” Dom because of their hellish actions as well. During an interview on Insight with Chris Van Vliet, Dominik had some fun with the comments by mentioning his mother’s possible role in this thing.
“Originally I didn’t think I’d look like Eddie but once I started growing out the mullet and there was a bunch of side-by-side pictures of me and him, and then the moustache it’s kind of scary.”
“I question my mother all the time. Because I don’t know, my dad was gone all the time, nineties was a wild time. I don’t know what happened.”
Clearly, Dominik was just having fun in character because his father is WWE Hall of Famer Rey Mysterio.
Dominik Mysterio’s Wife Supports His WWE Career
Over the last two years, Dominik Mysterio has been romantically linked to “Mami” Rhea Ripley and Liv Morgan. During the same interview with Chris Van Vliet, Dominik Mysterio spoke about how his wife completely understands that what he does on screen is just his career.
“She’s cool with it surprisingly, yeah, she honestly been super cool. She’s my ride-or-die. We’ve been together since we were 14. So as long as I let her know, ‘hey, this is what’s going to go down.’ She’s like ‘alright, cool.’ She honestly never gives me a hard time.
I’ve said it before, but when Rhea licked me that one time, and even after the kiss with Liv, her first text to me, because I always text her after a match or anything, like, ‘Hey honey, just finished. All good, all safe,’ just so she knows. Usually she’ll always text me back. ‘Oh, okay, good, see you soon. Love you, whatever.’
But when that stuff happened, it was like, so now that we are out here in Vegas, she’s like, ‘Dude, I found a tarantula in the garage.’ I’m like, ‘Well, did you kill it?’ She doesn’t worry about stuff like that, and she’s been with me for so long, she’s my rock, she makes me a better person.
So the fact that she’s able to still put up with all of this and deal with the craziness of all of what I do, I’m truly a blessed man.”
Dominik Mysterio and his wife were married in March 2024 and he was booed just like he is when he’s on WWE television.
