Dominik Mysterio Will Do What’s Best For Business In WWE
Dominik Mysterio has shared an ominous message as he responds to suggestions WWE could turn him into a good guy after his Intercontinental Title win.
Ever since the ungrateful Dominik Mysterio betrayed his father Rey Mysterio at Clash at the Castle in 2022, he has been hated by WWE fans. Aligning with The Judgment Day, Dirty Dom became one of WWE’s most hated stars with fans not even letting him cut promos with drowning him out with boos.
When Dominik Mysterio stabbed Rhea Ripley in the back to join forces with Liv Morgan, those reactions only got worse for Mysterio. Perhaps then, it’s no wonder that there was a lot of surprise when the fans in Las Vegas gave Dominik Mysterio one of the biggest ovations at WrestleMania when Mysterio won the Intercontinental Championship for the very first time.
Dominik Mysterio Happy To Do What WWE Wants
Speaking to CBS Sports, Dominik Mysterio was asked how he felt if WWE needed to pull the trigger on a permanent babyface turn if the positive reactions continue, and he’s not opposed to it:
Whatever the company wants, I’m here for them. I’m a team player and they know that. At the end of the day, whatever is best for business is going to happen.
However, when discussing his Intercontinental Title win, he couldn’t help but aim a dig at his beloved, WWE Hall of Fame father, which might temper any hopes of being beloved by fans around the world:
It’s super validating. The fact that it’s my first Mania competing for a singles title. It’s also my first Mania without my deadbeat dad anywhere around me. It’s definitely an accomplishment for me.
Since winning his title, Mysterio has already had his first successful defence on Raw, where he defeated Penta with more than a little help from a full-strength Judgment Day.
