Dominik Mysterio To Celebrate Major AAA Title Win
Dominik Mysterio is a double champion.
The WWE Intercontinental Champion clinched the AAA Mega Championship at Worlds Collide in Las Vegas on Friday, September 12, 2025, defeating El Hijo del Vikingo in a fiercely contested main event.
Near the end, chaos erupted when Balor and JD McDonagh from Judgment Day interfered, and El Grande Americano also became involved. Americano snuck a metal plate to Mysterio inside a lucha mask. Mysterio stunned Vikingo with a loaded headbutt and a frog splash to seal the win. Rey Mysterio entered after the match, reluctantly crowning his son as the new champion, as he had promised to do so earlier that night.
Following his title win, AAA announced Dominik Mysterio will return for a championship celebration at Gimnasio Olímpico Juan de la Barrera in Mexico City on Saturday, September 27, 2025, at 8 PM.

Dominik Mysterio Insults Rey Mysterio After AAA Title Win
Following the Worlds Collide event, Rey Mysterio reminded his son, Dominik Mysterio, not to get too high-and-mighty with his victory as he’s not the first to achieve the massive feat of holding two titles simultaneously. The Master of 619 posted a picture of himself as the double champion to prove his point. But Dirty Dom had a snarky response for his father.
Rey wrote, “@dominik_35 Never say you the greatest until they say you R……. Never say you the first cuz you Weren’t!! Facts Son Love, Your Dead Beat Dad”
“Good job son. Maybe one day you’ll be as great as me. Now post a pic of you holding the AAA Mega Championship,” Dom replied condescendingly.
Nevertheless, the WWE Hall of Famer is very proud of his son for his massive success in the field of pro wrestling.
