Dolph Ziggler was one of the star attractions on WWE RAW this week.

The former world champion made his shocking return to the company after two years to face Solo Sikoa in the ‘Last Time Is Now’ tournament.

In a short-lasting match, the 45-year-old pulled out all the stops, even putting Sikoa in an STF submission, a tribute to John Cena, with whom he had previously feuded.

He even hit his trademark Zig Zag finisher for a close pinfall, but not a win. Sikoa ended the bout after hitting Ziggler with a Samoan Spike.

After the match, there were speculations about whether or not Dolph Ziggler had signed a full-time contract with WWE.

As reported by Fightful Select, his contract situation is similar to that of Matt Cardona (Zack Ryder), meaning his appearance was a short-term deal with the Stamford promotion and not a long-term commitment.

Much like with Matt Cardona/Zack Ryder the week prior, WWE sources indicated to Fightful that Ziggler is not signed to a WWE contract.

The report also revealed that Ziggler is signed with TNA and that he prefers wrestling in the indies as opposed to being locked down by a single promotion, which was the case during his 19-year stint with his former employer.

We were told by TNA sources that Nemeth has preferred that method after being locked down to WWE for so long. [H/T: Ringside News]
