Former WWE Champion Doesn’t Know If Randy Orton Will Return To WWE

Not only is there not a timetable for when Randy Orton will return from injury, there’s doubt if he will ever be back in World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) period.

Kofi Kingston recently spoke about what his dream team would be if he competed in WarGames, however, with one of the wrestlers on his list, Kingston isn’t sure if he’s making a return to the company from his injury or not. Kingston was speaking about Randy Orton, who has been out of action since May, reportedly due to a severe back injury.

Making an appearance on NBC Sports Boston for an interview, Kingston listed who he would like to be his teammates in a WarGames scenario.

Last month, WWE made the announcement that Survivor Series will be home to headline WarGames matches for both men and women, and will be taking place at the Premium Live Event for the time in history. WarGames bouts, known to be quite extreme, have two side-by-side professional wrestling rings with steel cages built around them. With the two teams squaring off against one another, one side wins once they’ve completed a pinfall or submission. Every two minutes, teammates from each side enter the squared circle.

During his interview, Kingston told NBC Sports Boston that his WarGames team would feature types such as Bray Wyatt and Braun Strowman, and he would even expand to NXT talent such as Carmelo Hayes and Trick Williams due to them having “a lot of potential and I’m excited to see what they’re going to bring to the table.”

However, Kingston was unsure about one pick of his, Randy Orton, because Kingston was actually unsure about whether or not “The Viper” was even going to make a comeback to WWE.

“I don’t know if Randy Orton is coming back, but I’d put Randy on my team. You know, The Viper and the experience factor.”
