Disney+ Casts WWE’s Edge For Percy Jackson Series
According to Variety, Disney+ has brought on three new acts for their “Percy Jackson and the Olympians” series.
Jessica Parker Kennedy and Suzanne have been officially casted by Disney+, but that’s not all, WWE Hall of Famer Adam Copeland, better known as Edge in professional wrestling, will also be in the “Percy” series based on the novels of Rick Riordan Percy Jackson. Previously, Disney+ announced Walker Scobell as series lead, and regulars for the show Leah Saya Jeffries and Aryan Simhadri.
Edge will be guest starring as the god of War, Ares, who is described as “handsome in a wicked way and arrogant, despite not always being the sharpest tool in the shed. He loves conflict and acts as an agent of chaos wherever he goes.”
Copeland returned to the squared circle at the beginning of 2020, this after medical issues put him on hiatus for nine years, and has made a huge name for himself in Hollywood making appearances in movies such as “Interrogation” and “Money Plane,” as well as shows such as “Vikings,” “The Flash” and “Haven.”
