Details Revealed Of Swerve Strickland’s Major New AEW Deal
Former AEW World Champion Swerve Strickland might not have his title but he’s set for a big future after signing a new deal with Tony Khan.
It has been a huge week for AEW as the company put over fifty thousand people in Wembley Stadium for All In. The main event of the show saw Bryan Danielson win the AEW World Championship from Swerve Strickland in a hugely emotional match.
It was a rough night for Toni Storm as her emotions got the better of her as she couldn’t bring herself to use her shoe which allowed Mariah May to defeat her and win the AEW Women’s World Title.
Despite his loss at All In, it has proven to be a big week for Swerve Strickland as well as he signed a new deal with Tony Khan on the air and now more has been revealed about his future with AEW.
Swerve Strickland With AEW Until 2028
Fightful Select has reported that Strickland’s original three-year deal would have taken him to March of 2025 but negotiations over a new deal began while he was still AEW World Champion – a title he had won in April 2024. The new contract is said to be a multi-year deal that will keep him with AEW until at least 2028.
The deal is said to be one of AEW’s biggest in the company’s history and as a result, Swerve Strickland is set to be a major player for Tony Khan for years to come.
