Departing WWE Star Turned Down Bigger Contract Before Exit

Triple H WWE cash

It seems one WWE star was offered a big pay increase to stay with the company before deciding to leave.

On a recent edition of NXT, Fallon Henley and NXT Women’s Champion Jacy Jayne heard a bang backstage and, on investigating, found their Fatal Influence teammate Jazmyn Nyx had been the victim of a mysterious attack. Jayne, however, had a surprising take on the situation as she simply told Henley: “It was time to drop her anyway. Only the strong survive.”

PWInsider first reported that the reason for her sudden exit from Fatal Influence is that Nyx will be leaving WWE. Nyx has now explained her side of the story, noting that she refused WWE’s first offer as it was not financially what she was looking for.

One report suggested that Nyx was offered a contract to re-sign worth $75,000 per year – the same amount of money as she was believed to already be making. However, it seems WWE were even more generous than that.

Jazmyn Nyx Turned Down Big Pay Increase To Leave WWE

The Wrestling Observer’s Bryan Alvarez noted he was told that WWE’s offer to the star almost reached six figures:

I’m told Jazmyn’s original deal was $75,000 and her new offer which she turned down was approximately $98,000.

It should be noted that WWE main roster base pay is believed to start at $350,000, which would have meant a huge jump in salary if Nyx had ever made it to Raw or SmackDown.

One WWE star has already admitted to attacking Jazmyn Nyx as they look to replace her and join Fallon Henley and Jacy Jayne in Fatal Influence. That same star was the one who cost Lola Vice the NXT Women’s Title against Jayne at No Mercy, with WWE already spoiling who the masked figure involved in that match was.
