Dax Harwood Launches New Podcast
AEW’s Dax Harwood is the latest wrestling star to join the world of podcasts as he takes over the mantle from WWE-bound William Regal.
William Regal’s AEW exit was confirmed by Tony Khan who said the English star’s deal will finish at the end of the year after Regal asked that an option to extend his contract was not exercised by the company. It is believed William Regal will be returning to WWE where he worked for two decades before he was let go in January 2022. Regal is a close associate of Triple H with the two men’s relationship starting back in WCW in the mid-nineties.
As a result of William Regal choosing to return to WWE, it brought an end to his Gentleman Villain podcast as well. Regal has noted that he wanted the podcast to act as an instructional manual to wrestlers of today and of the future as he discussed the dos and donts of the business each week with co-host Matt Koon.
But as one door closes, another one opens and on the final edition of Gentleman Villain, Koon announced he was starting up a new podcast with current AAA and IWGP Tag Team Champion Dax Harwood.
FTR with Dax Harwood is the latest podcast to come to the AdFreeShows network and will feature Harwood giving his take on aspects of the wrestling world every week.
Dax Harwood has had the best year of his career as along with Cash Wheeler, the two men have held the AAA, IWGP, and ROH Tag Team Championships during 2022. Harwood has also broken out as a singles wrestler over the year as he took part in stand-out solo bouts with the likes of CM Punk, Will Ospreay, and Bryan Danielson.
FTR lost the ROH Tag Team Championship to The Briscoes at Final Battle in a critically acclaimed double dog collar match.
