Dax Harwood Receives Incredible Bret Hart Gift For Birthday (VIDEO)

Bret Hart Dax Harwood FTR Cash Wheeler

A surprised Dax Harwood received the gift of Bret Hart visiting him for a very special birthday.

Any wrestling fan who has followed the career of AEW’s Dax Harwood of the FTR tag team knows that he is a massive Bret Hart. Harwood and tag team Cash Wheeler have paid tribute to the HItman many times throughout their careers.

There have also been independent wrestling shows where FTR has been in tag team matches with two-time WWE Hall of Famer Bret Hart as their manager. Meanwhile, Bret has praised FTR as two of his favorite wrestlers in the business today.

Dax Harwood will turn 40 years old on June 30th, so his wife Maria and best friend/tag team partner Cash got him the gift of a surprise visit from Bret Hart. In a video posted on social media, Dax can be seen having a coffee when all of a sudden he turns his head and there’s Bret Hart! Dax’s wife Maria can be heard laughing on the video while seeing her husband’s happy reaction.

“Maria & Cash got me a gift for my 40th birthday.”

“Never in a million years did I think I’d get to this point in my career, but here we are.”

“What a life. Love you all.”

It was obviously something that Harwood loved as a Bret Hart fan and friend of the Hitman.

Dax Harwood is currently on AEW’s injured list with a serious back injury that will take a few months at least to heal. There’s no official timeline for when Harwood will return to the ring.

Bret Hart Defended By The Undertaker

A WWE Hall of Famer who knew Bret Hart well was The Undertaker. While speaking on his podcast recently, The Undertaker defended Bret against people who claim that the Hitman is too negative about wrestling. The Undertaker made it clear that Bret loved the pro wrestling business.

“Bret loved the business. He took a lot of pride in what he did, as he should. I think he gets a lot of crap because he doesn’t like a lot of how they do things right now. Everybody is entitled to their opinion. Just because you don’t agree doesn’t mean that you have the right [to say] he’s sour or he’s this.

He’s not sour, it’s just not the way he did it. I’ve had to deal with that. I’ve had to kind of learn and accept the fact that the business has evolved and although they don’t do it the way maybe I would have done it, it’s the way it’s done now.

He did take a lot of pride in being a wrestler and telling stories and having matches the way that he did. People need to lighten up and not worry so much about what people say because everybody’s entitled to their opinion. You don’t have to agree with somebody.

It drives me a little crazy, like the vitriol that comes out and people that get hateful about different things. It’s entertainment. We’re trying to evoke emotion. That’s his opinion, let him have his opinion. We all have one and we’re all entitled to it. You don’t have to get ugly.”

While Bret Hart is no longer actively working for a wrestling promotion, he does make appearances where he meets wrestling fans all around the world.
